What I bring to my trainings

The trainings I have created bring together my years of experience (since 2008) with my years of ongoing training working in mental health and therapy.

As a yoga therapist and counsellor I have worked with vulnerable populations in person in hospitals, in the community and privately. Whilst I work with everyone, I have specific experience of working with people with trauma, PTS, addiction, suicidal ideation, self-harm neurodiversity, grief, learning and physical disability.

Being trauma sensitive to me shouldn’t be an add on, it should best practice for all therapeutic offerings.

If your training didn’t offer you specific awareness of working in a trauma sensitive way my trainings will help fill in the gaps, or perhaps even deepen your existing knowledge.

I bring my trauma awareness not only to the content of my trainings but also to how they are delivered and shared with you.

What my trainings offer

  • A trauma sensitive approach centred around safety and ethics.

  • An opportunity to dive into your personal practice and nourish yourself.

  • Guidance and support in a non-dogmatic environment that welcomes all traditions and perspectives.

  • Encouragement to take this learning and to make it your own.

  • Connection and support with other souls who want to do the same work and learn.

  • The experience and knowledge needed to create and share Yoga Nidra in restorative poses.

  • Small groups. A total of 12 students are accepted to maintain the conversational style of training.

  • Yoga teacher/ mind-body therapist/ health professional with a strong understanding and practice of yoga who appreciates the training on offer makes you a Facilitator of Yoga Nidra, not a yoga teacher.

Learn together, from each other

The learning shared is offered in the spirit of curiosity, inquiry and collaboration. It is not a top down learning. I bring my years of skill and experience and I hope you will bring yours too. I believe our learning will be enriched through sharing our experiences, questions, skills and insights as a group and through our experiential practice.
